Mappathon™

It introduces participants to the latest projection mapping technologies and techniques, enabling them to create site-specific interactive or static projection mapped installations.

Education
The instructor will provide a step-by-step walkthrough each software. Participants will learn how to make animations from static images, mix video content, and projection map their creations onto specific 3-dimensional surfaces within the space.

Creative Execution
Participants will work together through an ideation phase to create a collaborative installation. They will experience the process of an art installation from concept to public presentation, further developing and exercising their newfound skills.

Presentation
Participants will have the opportunity to present their installation within the space. By seeing others interact with and respond to the piece, they will learn how projection mapping projects can be applied in innumerable ways, and benefit from constructive critique.
