It is structured in a similar manner to the projection mapping Mappathon™. It introduces participants to the latest LED mapping technologies and techniques, enabling them to create site-specific interactive or static LED installations.
The instructor will provide a step-by-step walkthrough each software. There will be a review of what hardware is needed for an LED installation, and detailed instructions of how to assemble it all. Participants will also learn how to create animations that will be translated through the software to control LED pixel behavior.
Participants will work together through an ideation phase to create a collaborative installation. They will experience the process of an art installation from concept to public presentation, further developing and exercising their newfound skills.
articipants will have the opportunity to showcase their installation within the space. By seeing others interact with and respond to the piece, they will learn how LED mapping projects can be applied in innumerable ways.
